PI = (KE)(SD)/(100 Af) where KE is bullet knitic energy, in ft-lb, (MV^2/7000(2G)) G=32.17 V= bullet velocity in fps, M= bullet mass in grains SD = sectional density Af = bullet cross-sectional area The 380 gr. even at 2250 probably has a greater PI than the 500gr. 458, which isn't too whippy in the first place. |
