The act of taking a Mauser action and simply screwing a new barrel chambered for .376 Steyr is just the beginning of your expenses. You have to get it to feed properly, which will likely require a new magazine; plus bolt face alterations, extractor aletations, etc., etc....... By the time you get done, it will have been cheaper (and BETTER) to have purchased a factory .375 H&H in the first place.

I really think that the .375 H&H remains the ideal .375-bore cartridge. For one thing, it's AVAILABLE in terms of factory ammo and brass, and it'll be around for as long as there is big game hunting left in this world.
