Caprivi, The goal of this take-down project is pictured below. The Fraser magazine rifle pictured was marked exactly the same way you described above in regards to the .303 Fraser. This rifle is serving as my design goal as I have weights, measurements, profiles, tapers, tracings, etc. from it. As to your mention of the M46, they make GREAT platforms for this type of work! And I've recommended that approach to others. I got my first M46 when I was in college as I couldn't afford a nice English or Scottish rifle. Over the years I've acquired many M46 and M146 Husqvarna's in 6.5's through 9.3s. I use them all regularly, but haven't brought myself to utilize them for a project like this yet. |
