IGORROCK, Just replied to your PM, and am replying to your reply in this thread as well. At this time I am not selling the castings by themselves, but I greatly appreciate your interest. I am using them on the light magazine rifles I build in the Fraser and Henry style. Utilizing the castings speeds up the turnaround time on building my rifles. As you can imagine, there is a lot of delicate and time consuming file work on Scottish guns and rifles (Fraser, Henry, Dickson, Harkom, and others). This delicate file work and shaping of parts is really what sets the Scottish guns apart. I hope to post more about the rifles I am building in the Scottish style as they progress. In fact, I plan to weld the handles onto a Mauser 96 and a Steyr (1902) action by the end of the week. If so, I'll try to get some pictures posted. Depending upon the level of interest I receive I may consider making myself available as a gunmaker to interested clients. |
