Ripp, I am only asking out of curiosity. I am not a big Weatherby fan after shooting a 378 weatherby magnum a couple of years ago. I was declared "Holy" thereafter as it kicked the living hell out of me. I am not recoil shy, I have shot a 450 NE no 2, a 458 lott and a 470, on all of them the perceived recoil was less than my 375 . My 375 is a Sako and as we know it is a very light rifle. But that Weatherby really had a go at me.

I do not know any people in RSA that own a Weatherby and mostly have to rely on books to get information. I have also learned over the years that authors etc have their own ideas, likes and dislikes.

As proved in this post hunters often have different experiences than what are written in books.
