I based my remarks on the 416 Remington on reports by Don Heath and on Pierre vd Walts book Big Bore Cartridge Load Data Collection. I think that modern heat insensitive propelants did sort out the problems.

One of the benefits of this forum is all the information that is available from the members. I keep on getting valuable info here.

Hopefully my 416 Rigby will be completed in the next few weeks.

Anybody have experience with a 416 Weatherby Magnum?
