I hear you SAHUNT, however many or all of the pressure spike problems have been solved with the use of the newer ADI powders like 2208 (I think that's Varget) and 2206H (H4895) Hodgdon Extreme powders.

I know that here, if I work up a load in the freezing temps of Winter, they are still useable in 110 degree temps shooting gophers in the Summer. or loads worked up in the heat, shoot identically in the cold of late fall and winter.

Ripp here used a .416 in Africa with facgory-type loads of 2,400fps with 400gr. bullets without trouble - as did John Whooters with a .416 Taylor on buffalo in Zim, I think, same ballistics. Neither of these two, that I know of, used the more modern powders that are available today, at least not J. Whooters.

It will be interesting to see what the fallout happens to be on these new rounds.
