Lift gun through target. As it drops down past target, shoot. Waaay too much gun for the elephant and cape buffalos I've taken.

I've used the .577 also, same story. All the 700 proves is that you have too much money, too much free time and not enough self esteem. Other than penis envy, I can't see a use for the gun.

Butch Searcy built the one I shot with one standing and two folding rear sights. The 700 would not be very useful past 25-35 yards, as a rest would be needed and all that lovely recoil would come back to bite. Three shots a week were much more than enough for me. A friend of mine who shall remain nameless, said the 700 didn't do much more than a good 450-470 could do.

Were I to convert the Savage shotgun to a .700, I'd make sure I had someone dumber than me to shoot it. Not so much recoil, but the idea of many small gun parts flying in loose formation doesn't interest me.
