Interesting Tom. Mine is also a 270 in the Bavarian model. It will definitely NOT pick up the case from the mag. I wonder if mine needs some work? I assumed it was functioning properly as the bolt doesn't have to be rotated in order to grab the rim.
From what I remember of the original write up of the Sako CRF-on a 75model I think- even Sako described it as a cross between a full CRF and a PF. Not one or the other. Not having looked at one I cant comment on how they work.
