DickJones, Welcome to the forum. Until you are able to get to a gunsmith, a small amount of thick grease will often be enough to hold up the leaf sights. It has worked for me on some guns in the past. Was the bead suposed to be nestled into the notch ? - I have always worked on this principle but that is not to say some guns were wighted in with the bead at the same height as the top of the leaves. I find if you always have the bead nestled into the notch, you get a consistent sight picture, where as you can have slight variations with the bead at the same height as the top of the leaves Hope this helps. 500 Nitro |
