Re: .600 Nitro on a Ruger No.1 ?!?

Years ago, in the 70's I'm sure, Les Bauska had some Ruger #1 actions cast up somewhat oversize and turned them into .600 Nitros. The reason for being oversize was to give enough meat for the rim cuttouts, I believe as well as for the threaded shank.

This is what I was told, then.

I do not know if a regular #1 is large enough.
