Look at a .17HMR round. See how deeply the case mouth is creased into the bullet. You can do eaxtly that with normal lead core bullets using the Lee die, or you can make the case mouth crimp even more deeply over a longer span, or anything lighter, up to no crimp at all. You are the one with care and control of the press of the locking ring on the die. You are the one who controls how much crimp is applied. Con - no offense taken. The pricing quoted by Lee to me was a mere $5.00 for shipping. I guess I'll see exactly what it is when it arrives. If they send the die and the mould I also ordered in a blister pack envelope as requested, they will arrive without any further taxes and be in my mail box at the front door - some day. |
