I have bought and sold a number of big bore bolt actions by Cogswell and Harrison...They are not a partically fine old firearm by comparison to Rigby or H&H, but they are good using guns and I much prefer them to any of the modern factory guns of today...Value of a good bolt action Cogswell and Harrison in 375 is about $1500.00. In the smaller calibers they usually bring about $500 less... I know some sell for a lot more on rare ocassions but that is because some folks just think because its and old English rifle its worth mega bucks, but that won't be the case when they try to get rid of it... Again, they are nice old rifles built on milsurp M-98 action, most have aluminun bottom metal and they are very plebium, and were made for the trade.. They did make a few high grade guns and these bought a lot more money..The are engraved and very nice rifles..They also made some high grade shotguns, which I never cared for btw... |
