I've heard of that with older Nikons but his that you mention, assuredly, wasn't a "Gold" series model. I've heard that Nikon will make this good for anyone who experiences this.

The swaro and leopold that I mentioned in my 1st reply - that LPS, though clear, was actually yellowish to look through and at anytime during the day from pre-dawn to after sunset. Leupold made it right for my podnah, no questions asked.
