For the money, a Ruger safari grade rifle is certainly one of the all time best buys in big bores I have seen..I don't own one but would love to have one...

The barrel alone with intregal quarter rib, barrel band swivel, barrel band front sight, would cost you three grand in a custom rifle...the control feed, the m-70 safty and a nice designed English stock all make for a lot of gun for the money, not to mention a true magnum action that will handle a 416 Rigby or a 505, 500 Jefferys and a bunch of others...who else offers all these options at $1200 give or take a hundred dollar bill....NOBODY!
