Mine stopped under the skin, between the back bone and the hide - no exit. The bullet struck the ground in front of the gopher, plowed a groove, then angled up and hit him in the belly, penetrated through guts, upwards, through the spine but stopped up behind his front legs under the hide - funniest thing you ever saw. Launched him 12' in the air, to land on his back, both feet straight up, not a twitch. So - the moral of this story is that the .375H&H will not go through a gopher - I saw it happen. ![]() In this instance, the .375 WTBY Improved probably would not have helped the 275gr. cast bullet's penetration. ![]() |
