Quote: Now, this is an excellent question! I was very excited to take my "new to me" WR out to the range this morning to see what it could do, and to sight in the scope. First I have to credit JJ for mounting the scope well enough that it actually put rounds on paper at 100 yards distance. It was "printing" low and to the right by about 6 inches -- certainly "minute of lion" at 100 yards. Unfortunately however I will have to take it out another time when I remember to bring a set of screwdrivers to adjust the windage on the claw mount! I will also need to bring a well-padded shirt, as that .375 is a beast of a round in such a light rifle, and I now have the bruises on my shoulder to prove it! I had brought only ten rounds of ammunition, of which I shot three and my friend shot two. For each of us, that was quite enough! It was pure hubris on my part to think that after so much experience shooting 50BMG rifles, these Safari rifles would rattle me less. |
