I wonder how shooting a 10lbs straight stocked bolt action 500 Jeffery is like compared to a Merkel double .470? A lot more recoil or rather manageable?
I suppose it is possible to make lighter loads for practice?
Is the recoil pretty much the same if I lower the velocity to approxiately the same with the two calibers?
