Hmm- correct me if I'm seeing things, but the lands actually engraved the shank of the bullet full length + a bit ahead of the top band but only touched the nose, which is smaller. On the other hand, the TSX bullets only engraved on the bands, not on the body proper. Too - the base of the TSX, while longer of more bearing surface length than the bands, is of smaller diameter. This is obvious due to the amount of extruded material ion front of and behind the rear band, in comparrison to the bands themselves. Neither would not concern me at all, personally, due to the banding, for this bullet or the TSX or banded Barnes solids, but IS contrary to statements that they don't engrave on the body ie: "main part" of the bullet. This non-engraving of the body may be true in some guns, but definitely not all due to the difference bore and groove diameters of double guns 'out there'. By all means, slug the bores of your guns before firing ANY bullets. |
