I fired a .416 Taylor on a Mauser 98 action with a Boyds stock and the recoil was ... objectionable. It definantly needed a different design stock but I had the impression the case shoulder design and max load also had something to do with my perception.

I have a CZ .416 Rigby and am currently working for reduced loads. To get cases I have to fire off factory solids at A$125 per 20.

With the Rigby you can go up or down with your case pressures and in the CZ you will always have that cavenous action to play with if the Wildcat big bore bug catches.
