I have loaded my .416 Rigby to almost match the big Weatherby, and I dont find the recoil all that bad. I can confirm though a 410gn round nose doing 2650fps is very very effective! One thing to remember with these big rounds is that you can load them up or down as you desire, an example of that is I also load my .416 Rigby down to 2150fps which produces very mild recoil and is a good practice load. And if you are going to get a big Weatherby handloading is the only option unless you want to end up broke.
