Marlin 45, I also have a Ruger RSM, only in .375 H&H (with a stunning stick of Circasion Walnut).
I have on occasions thought about fitting a thicker and softer recoil pad but with the Leupold scope (1.75 - 6 x 32mm, in Warne QD rings), as far back as it can go, adding any thing to the LOP will bugger up the present (really good), sighting situation! FYI, I'm 5 foot 11" and 76 KG's/12 stone in weight.
