As I promised, the photos of the .375/06. Well, okay. Just the cartridge this time. I'll do the rifle up this weekend. Pictured is the parent cartridge, the venerable .06, on the left. The fireformed .375 case is to the right of the .06 case. The loaded .375/06 cartridge prior to fireforming is next - this one loaded with 60 grains of IMR 4320 and a 235 grain Speer, which I have settled on as my "light" bullet, the Nosler 260 grain partition for hairy heavyweights. For comparison, on the far right is a cast-bullet loaded .45/70 cartridge. Sorry about the scope in the background, but it was being used to weight down the paper I was photographing the cartriges against, because the background was otherwise too cluttered. I've settled on this .375 wildcat as my go to hunting cartridge. A tip of the hat to my mentor and good friend Daryl S. Thanks for looking in. ![]() |
