I measured the height of the centre line (axis) of the scope above the centre line of the bolt. It was approx 2".

LOP is 13 7/8" and I also measured the height from 7" along the top of the comb to the centre line of the scope. This was approx 2 1/2".

I don't know if this is high or not.

Two other rifles I own also had the same 2" height from bolt centre to scope centre.

That dimension must suit me

My FN Mauser 98 9.3x62 with Redfield 3-9x40 was slightly less at 1 7/8"
