I agree with Mickey,though I,m no dangerous game guru having never realy shot any. From what Ive read ,the old bullets were pretty crap compared to the newer 500 gn woodleighs. I know with my 458 win using modern powders (ADI AR2206)I got close to 2200 fps with no signs of high presure. With modern 500gn bullets and beating the 2100 fps barrier it cant be too bad.
