Well it's finally happened to us now too. The following cartridges are not allowed to be used since they exceed the licenced template for the range:

338 Lapua
460 Steyr
and some 406 cartridge that I'd never heard of.

I mean you can't argue against this, even if it is a result or "urban creep". It's going to happen especially considering the proximity of the range to the CBD. I'll bet a lot of developers are itching to get a hold of the land some day (curently federal land).

There's a petition going around on noise issues and they have had noise measurements taken a couple of months ago, but I don't know what the results are.

The range came under pressure about 20 years ago but that settled down, but now things are only going to become more restrictive without easing off, IMO.

I'm going to make the most of the facility while it is still there and keep going every weekend.
