Well, the .43 Mauser is not bad at all then, having the same level of power as the 45/70, good short range caliber.
Have you hunted with yours?

Good to know brass is easy to find to, same for the .450 BPE.

The .43 Mauser is a interesting caliber, with lot of history, and when a double hammer gun is offered, I get interested......
