Actually, the reason I mentioned Savage's Safari Express is because it comes with controlled round feed, stainless steel barrelled action and an accu-trigger. Plus, the Savage is available at a reasonable comparative cost as a "base" gun. It's really just a theory at this point, as I only know about this 300 RUM-to-.404 Jeffery "conversion" from what I've read.

What I'd really prefer is for CZ to bring out a 550 Magnum in .404 dressed in the "fancy grade" American stock.
