Thanks for the compliments, and Yes, Alex is top notch. Originally Alex just fitted an ordinary front sight but I liked the one that I had seen on another job that Alex had done previously and I guess there was a little confusion but he had one in stock and fitted it.

It is taking shape and the original stock is going to be re done by Alex in oil to be used as a "Beater" stock leaving the new one that Ross Waghorn is making for "Light" hunting but I thought if I am lucky enough to get to Africa I would hate to slip and bugger up a exhibition blank, in addition, Alex suggested that I leave a little at the muzzle in case it ever needs re-crowning, hope that's not an omen.

There is a message from Alex (sort of ) but in addition, I am so pleased with the way this one is coming along, I saw a CZ550 in 9.3x62 with a good quality scope and bought it. It will be made into a 30.06 but will be a scaled down “Look Alike” to the .375H&H but will just have the original stock but oil finished.

I still have some photos that Alex sent me the other night, he mounted the Recknagel QD Pivot mounts and put the S&B scope on it and it look a million dollars.

Anyway, thanks Adam, please keep in touch, Lapua said you were meeting up at the Wild Deer Expo and it should be good Expo, I just wish I could make it myself but no luck this time.
