G'day all, The poofters at Remington quit making their 416 Rem Mag brass a few weeks ago, without any notice. When I wrote them they basically told me to get stuffed. There is a place in the states called Arms and Ammo that has some - they jacked the price up. Jamison just finished a 100,000 piece run for Cor-Bon. Interesting to see what they load it with. Dieter Horneber makes it in Germany. Reimar Johannsen has it for their normal highway robery rates. I asked Huntingtons to import some frrom Horneber; that will drop the price a bit. There is still a little Bell brand floating around here and there. Very inconsistent quality - soft. I know; I bought some. Good for cast bullet loads over A 5744 at 1,800fps. Just for giggles I made some out of Hornady Basic Belted Brass. Works Brilliantly. I asked Jamison and Hornady to consider making the brass; I believe Jamison will beat Hornady out the gate. Jamison's latest brass has been very good quality. I will keep this news updated. Thanks, lawndart |
