You aren't by your self here as I prefer to have something different from the rest of the "Sheeple in the Flock"

Fat Boy, the Leupold Rings are "Electroless Nickle" plated and this finish is not easily removed. You can wear through it with a Bead Blaster but then you have carbon steel and whilst it will be similar to the scope and rifle for a while, it will rust eventually!?!
