Re: 375 H&H - Magnum or large rifle primer?

G'Day Fella's,

Brewman, I recently mentioned elsewhere on this forum that my .375 H&H load is;

Remington .375 H&H Case
Remington 9 1/2 Magnum Primer
80grains of ADI AR 2209 (2600fps)
and
300 grain Jacketed Lead Bullets, Not Crimped in place!

Brewman, this is what I consider to be a "Maximum Safe Working Load" but This is Only in My Ruger Magnum B/A rifle!
You should reduce this powder charge by 5% (4 to 5 Grains of powder) and then progressively increase the powder charge in one grain increments in your rifle and component combination, all the time keeping an eye out for signs of excessive pressure!!!

I use Rem 9 1/2Magnum and CCI 250 Magnum primers in all my 08, -06 and Magnum size cases apart from my .22-250 AI and I use CCI BR2 primers in that.

Hope this helps.
