What primer would you use in a 375 H&H?

A lot of, if not most information recommends magnum primers but then some say large rifle primers are OK.

I have done some preliminary loads and just used CCI large rifle primers as that is what I had on hand and they seemed to work just fine.

The powder I used (ADI 2209) almost fills the case but is not a compression load, I have heard that using faster powders that do not fill the case so much are the ones that benefit more from magnum primers, but I’m not sure if this is in fact true.

Anyway just wanted to know if I am possibly taking any risks or posing any danger to be using large rifle primers.
