Absolutely,

Have used one on all my African Hunts--personally, my favorite all around caliber for hunting dangerous game so far--awesome penetration and plenty of knock down power...yet shoots flat enough to still hit bushbuck at 250 plus yards...have had one shot kills one elephant, buffalo and lion..all the way down to duiker...

Actually, if I were to get another double I would seriously look at a 500/416--think that would be awesome as well..
