Re: Best magnum rifle primer for large cases

I have been using Fedral 215 Magnums in most things for years now, simply because they work.

I've used them in 500 Jeffery, 500NE, 450NE, 450/400NE, 404 Jeffery, 375 H&H Mag, 375 H&H Flanged Mag, 300 Win Mag, 7mm Rem Mag,and 30/06. (I know I didn't need them in the 30/06, but it was all I had at the time). I have never had the slightest hic-cup with them.

I couldn't get them once and worked the load back up in the 375H&H with Rem 9-1/2M's , same with the 30/06, although it was with RWS 5333's then, and it made no difference in my rifles . I've only done that with those two thought, and none of the others.

If you can get them, my first choice for the 500 Jeffery would be the Federal 215's , but if you cannot get them, Rem 9-1/2M's or CCI 250's would be a fair second choice. Certainly worth a try at least.

Happy New Year to all

Best

Alex
