Mstarling That’s more than good enough accuracy off sticks. I have always been told and I apply it to all my shots that you must guarantee a kill at whatever range you shoot and to practice placing your bullets in a 4” circle by whatever means you would take game in the field and at whatever range you can do it, every time. The 4” circle seems to be the standard here in the UK and has been adopted for the practical element of the Deer Management Qualifications. I can place my shot in the 4” circle off my stick at 100 yds every time, but I can’t do it off hand. I can place it off hand at 50 yds, so I will only take an off hand shot at less than 50 yds. Interestingly with the iron sights I can guarantee placement at to around 60 or 70 yds depending on the light, maybe it’s not as off putting as watching a magnified image dance over the target, I use a fixed power 6X scope for most of my hunting.
