Hauptjager, I fired up the Dillon press and cranked out 100rnds of 9.3X62 with the 286gr Woodleigh. I bumped up my load 3 tenths of a grain, to Varget-59.3 just to move my velocity up to an even 2400fps (It just sounds better than 2385fps) After glass bedding and glassing in the mercury, I really got lucky on this one. I shot 3 groups at 3/4" 1 group just over 1/2" I must replace this horrible trigger. A few other groups would have been spectacular but I would launch one round 1/2"- 3/4 from the group. I sighted her in 2" high at 100yds it gave me an exact 200yds zero (I mean dead nuts center) at 250yds it dropped 4.5" at 300yds it dropped 10" It is plain to see that this is where the .375 H&H takes over with a much extended range and knock down.. But all in all, I am highly impressed by both cartridge and shorty rifle.. Oh-yes, the mercury reducer did make a very noticeable difference even more comfortable than before. I removed the stock to see what weight Dead Mule reducer I used, but unfortunatly when installing I had it turned and I can't see the weight. (accra-glass is somewhat transparent) It is the size for rifle forend if that helps you... Good luck with your CZ.. 450 |
