I was pleasantly surprised by the recoil, or the lack of recoil would be a better way to put it. Feels more like a 30-06. Rifle not as accurate as hoped for, but has potential. I will be doing a glass bedding job on this baby asap. This trigger system also sucks. I will be on the search for a standard adjustable, so if you know who makes one, please let me know.. I purchased this rifle as sort of an experiment. I have yet to have any experiance with this caliber untill now. So now I'm in search mode for an original Mauser Model A/B or Mannlicher Schoenauer or one of the old world original classic makers in this caliber. My thanks to those on this thread who offered their experiances and information.. Let me know what you think, and if this information changed or strengthened your views... BTW I'm certain I could bump the velocity up by another 100fps.... But why?...450
