I have 2 of the new M-70s, a stainless, synthetic .30-06 and a Featherweight in .300 WSM. The quality is incredible, but I wish they'd left the trigger alone. The old one is bomb-proof and simple. The new one feels great but is more complicated. If they are still sitting on the shelf, it has to do with the economy. Hunting rifles sales are way down right now. All the growth is in semi-auto handguns and ARs.
