Robert, That has been my experience with most of the 9.3x62 I have built and I have a chronograph and my findings have been right there with all but a couple of rifles... I know the 9.3x62 cooks with more barrel, at least with H414 and RL-15...I can give my 26" barrel 375 H&H a run for its money with my 26" barrel 9.3x62...I get about a 100 FPS less velocity but with 20 grs. more bullet in my 9.3x62 and that 320 gr. Woodleigh about equals my 300 gr. 375 H&H load for all practical purposes, and I have one or two more rounds down in the magazine. Pretty impressive stuff IMO.... Cut that gun off at 20 inches and its a 35 Whelen, but thats OK too.... |
