You can get a spiffy stock from the Great American Gunstock company. I do believe they make one for the 550 and you can get it in several grades of wood, too. I am thinking about getting a new stock for my 550.

Has anyone noticed that the 9.3x62 seems to average about 50 fps per inch of barrel between 20 and 26 inches? That is, it seems that increasing barrel size from 24 to 26 results in ~ 100 fps. Going from 20 to 24 inches results in ~200 fps. I have never noticed this before with any other caliber.
