Agree totally, and I don't usually use or really need the bronze brush. Just made it up to give the bore a good scrub out after shooting cast bullets for a while. The bore in my Mauser is not perfectly smooth and shiney and the brush has quite dense soft bristles so gave it a clean out with Hoppes No 9. As I don't normally shoot the big gun as much as smaller calibres it's always nice to hold and pamper it, dreaming of knocking over a few good tuskers in the day and then having to clean out after those pesky corrosive primers. Ah isn't life so simple today. |
