A no. 53 cabinet makers rasp will do wonders for that stock, they certainly leave enough wood on them...I have done a couple of those for friends and they sure liked them..It lowers the comb just a tad but thats no biggie in my book, in fact all my guns are set up for irons and then I shoot a scope with them also...never has bothered me. My 9.3x62 loads are with RL-15 and H414.. I get 2520 FPS with 59 grs. of RL-15 and a 286 gr. Nolser in my 26" barrel...58 gives me 2450 with a 300 gr. Swift and just a tad less with a 320 gr. Woodleigh..I really like the 230 gr. GS HV at 2670 FPS for mule deer and even elk... |
