Glad you found a solution that works for you, but honestly I can't understand going to so much trouble when you can just use a jag and cotton patches with a mild abrasive (think toothpaste) like Montana X-treme 'copper cream', or a chemical copper killer like 'wipe-out' (foam or liquid type).
