I reckon this is one cartridge that is making a quiet comeback.

We now have ammunition from Hornady as well as Norma and RWS. Custom guns are popping up more and more in 404 and CZ has plonked it into its Safari line as well.

I love this round, shot my first buffalo with one and would recommend it highly. It is mild on the shoulder and fierce on the prey.

Mine is on a LH Win Mod 70 cause I can not get Mag length mausers easily unfortunately.

You won't go wrong with the 404. You can also use ULTRA MAG brass to form 404 cases IF you need to.
