I am an aspiring gunsmith, and new to the big bore rifles. I am currently restoring a PH 1100 African safari rifle from parts. It will be chambered in the .458 Lott Cartridge. I need to know what the inletted slots are for in the foreend of the PH stock. Any help, especially pics would be greatly appreciated. TIA Dave
