I put my bucks on the Ruger African .375 and have been very happy with it. I took it to Zimbabwe and used it for plains game with great success. It is flat shooting, accurate and hard hitting. It comes in an Alaskan model thats stainless and synthetic as well. IMHO there isnt a better value in a bolt action action for the pure hunter available. No collector gun, just a rugged hunter's tool. I used 300 grain Swift A-Frames for my hunt. It whacked wildebeast, zebra, warthog, kudu, and several impala with impressive results. I feel confident it would have done the job on buffalo had there been a problem with my .458 lott. I will be taking it back when I go next.
