Oh hell Bonanza, I am just a grumpy old sod I have come to the conclusion. People do not shoot overpowered for weight rifles well. I am not the "cartridge police" and people can shoot whatever the heck they like I guess. I just dont get making something like this and giving it to your friends to test based on some extrapolated data. Some of the guys making this stuff are very talented. I don't understand why they dont build a universal reciever (they are so easy) and get a couple of piezos hooked up to a laptop and do the job properly. I love experimenting with stuff. I just spent 2 days hooking a reduction gearbox and drive cogs up to my Bridgeport so I can cut spiral octagonal barrels, for no better reason than I figured out a way to do it. (Heaven help whoever has to stock them) I've got 2 98 Mauser 318WR nearly finished on the bench without a customer for them just because I like the cartridge. Heavens knows when somebody in London last did that, because the proof house had to order in cartridges especially for them. I bought a box of 40 pairs of back action hammer locks just because they were there and now have to build some rotery underlever actions to suit them, how arse about face is that So I really do see the bug for doing something different, but the lead slug thing has been done to death for no benifit I can see and this one was so under tested that it riled me. I butted out because I dident want to offend anyone, I still do not think that I am wrong. So make that grumpy arrogant old sod. Best Regards |
