How did you like your Caprivi?/ I have read nothing but good about them BUT as you owned one, curioius on your thoughts.. thx Ripp
Hey Ripp,
I needed some funds for some other gun projects, with it being the "Least" important in the battery it got sacrificed. I liked it alot. Probably the nicest 375 I have owned. Problem is I have had use of a 1990's built WR and a Dakota 76, years back, and they have really swayed my thinking.
All that said I still want a Dakota. I bought this Kimber as a affordable alternative and that it is.....but in the end it was not the "feel" I really wanted. I finally had a chance to handle a Dakota 76 and a Caprivi together, over Memorial day at Cabel'as in Rapid, and from that day on I knew the Caprivi would/could be a short timer.
Will I have to change my username to Dakota????????????
That was my feeling as well when I looked at them at SCI last year..pretty nice gun..but the old Dakota's have that 'certain" feel to them for sure...felt the Kimber was a bit bulky in the front end of the stock for my taste--actually I like the twin synthetic model a bit better plus it would be a great gun for Alaska as well
