I know you maintain that the 9,3x62 needs a longer barrel...26" or so. What will I loose by having a nicely contoured and sighted 8x57js barrel of 23" bored and chambered to 9,3x62?

Will I loose significant velocity...how about a slightly faster powder? Would that help compensate a bit? What pitch should I have done? I was thinking around 1 in 13...?

While I've had a lot of experience with a 35 Whalen and the 9,3x74r, I know little about reloading for the 9,3x62.
